What makes me smile after a long day at work?A little guy who plays the silliest games, chews the craziest things and wants to cuddle in the most vicarious positions.
He was a gift from mother to son but Mom has fallen in love with Beefy our Bulldog Pup. Who can resist he soft wrinkled skin and his big brown eyes. He curls up beside you no matter the time and follows you constantly to be by your side.
Yeah, Yeah Yeah we sure love this little guy BUT now it's time for Doggie training 101. Yes, Mr. Beefy wants to run and play and finds himself in the front yard with crazy things hanging from his jaws for the whole world to see. Yeah well I won't get too graphic. You got the idea. He doesn't listen very well either. Once a week, Mom and Beefy are off to Petsmart to teach us how to communicate with each other. How did I get dragged into this? I'll tell you... This is what happens (I mean a Mr Beefy) when one's mother also known as Carol convinces her 16 yr old grandson Justin that a English Bulldog Pup would be a wonderful pet to have. So the child, begs, pleads and bargains until Mom says "let's go surprise the boy with a bulldog." And of course my mother all to willingly says, "I'm coming for the ride." There you have it, we've had this not so little guy for about 9 months now and although he is the sweetest most loving puppy, he sometimes acts as if he can't hear us or see us. Yes some of you dog lovers know the kind. But the minute you shout, "wanna eat or bye-bye in car" he comes barreling through the house like a tornado taking everything with him including me! The trainer says there is hope he is young and smart and I say, can I drop him off today, pick him up next week and he be fixed? Of course she said, "NO". Wish us luck!
